Favorites: Podcasts To Add To Your List

Updated: 6 days ago

For me, podcasts are school, white noise and entertainment all at once. I like to listen to podcasts when I'm on the road, cleaning up or exercising, but also when I'm working/illustrating. There is always a moment to listen to podcasts. These are my current favorites.

1. In The Light Podcast

In this podcast, Dr. Anita Philips takes you to the place where faith, mental health and emotional healing come together. The topics she discusses ensure that you dare to feel, think and believe without shame. Her lessons through her podcast and book "The Garden Within" have helped me immensely in a turbulent time and have literally given me life-changing lessons.

2. Mel Robbins Podcast

Sometimes you need a (loving) kick in the butt and through the Mel Robbins Podcast you will definitely get a few. From trauma responses to procrastination, discipline and perfectionism, she touches on issues we all struggle with at some point. Her guests also offer beautiful and new insights on various topics. You can also take away practical tips so that you can really have an impact on your daily life.

3. To My Sisters

You know those conversations that start with a lighthearted topic and suddenly end in a deep soul searching conversation? This podcast feels like one of those conversations and I love it! Courtney and Renee talk about personal growth, relationship with God and much more. They are very honest and open about their journey and they are very funny and wise. It is a warm, inspiring and encouraging podcast. Perfect to listen to during a Selfcare Day, when you dare to look within.

4. Vrouwen Met Saus (Dutch)

Esnart, Ines and Shannon, the amazing hosts of these podcasts make you feel like you are on a brunch date with your besties and talking about everything and anything. They give you that extra sauce so that you can feast on different topics such as what is going on in our society, career, friendships and dating. Consume with caution: it might be too spicy for you to handle! 🌶️

5. Angelique’s Voice Notes (Dutch)

Apart from Angelique having a wonderful voice to listen to and a great ear for music (if you don’t believe me, just listen to Sublime FM 😍), she’s also very open. Her voice notes are like listening to voice memos from a friend who encourages you by sharing her own journey with you. She’s the kind of person you hang on her every word and know that her words have meaning because she really speaks from experience. I had the honor of creating the artwork for the podcast and it was truly a dream project.
