Samara, the princess who rests her hand on the Queen’s shoulder while the Queen proudly stands before her, ready to protect her cub if needed. Although the Most High is often perceived by us in a masculine form, God is also the source and Creator of motherly love, able to show up, comfort and protect as one. Samara means Protected by God, which makes the title of this artwork [with the words protection & comfort] emphasize on being protected against harm while it’s present and the continuation of safety while there’s no danger.
This one-of-one piece is hand embossed onto approximately 20,5cm x 15cm brass-toned metal foil, mounted on 300-gram A4 Old-Dutch paper. Titled on the back with an authentication stamp, date, and artist signature.
